Bandipur National Park located in Chamarajnagara district near Mysore established in 1973 as a Tiger reserve was also a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Hampi
Hampi is one of the oldest World heritage sites. It is located on the banks of Tungabhadra. The beautiful stone carvings and sculptures are the proof of the artisans of the Vijayanagara Kingdom. A well-known historical city situated at the foothills of Chamundi Hills. It was the Capital city of the Wadiyar Kingdom, where the Dynasty ruled from 1399 till 1950. Heritage structures and places like Mysore palace, Chamundi temple, Lalitha Mahal, St. Philomena church, etc are famous tourist spots and pride of Karnataka. Similarly, the development of Mysore University, banks, production of Mysore sandal soap, Mysore silks, and more took place in early times. Mysore Dasara is the state festival. The King of Mysuru traditionally presides over the ceremonies and major procession where the goddess will be carried in Gold Chariot on an elephant. Mysore also has other attractive spots like the Zoo water park and Shuka Vana filled with different species of birds.

Srivanasamudra falls is a heavenly place in Mandya District situated along the river Kaveri. Shivanasamundra means Shiva’s Sea. The falls have two segments called Gaganachukki and Bhuvachukki.
